Martin Gleave MD, FRCSC, FACS
Chairman of Protox Clinical Advisory Board (Urology)

Dr. Gleave is a Professor in the Department of Urologic Sciences at the University of British Columbia, Director of the Prostate Center at Vancouver General Hospital, Chair of the Genito-Urinary Tumour Group at BC Cancer Agency, and is appointed as a Consultant Urologist for the Department of Urology at the University of Washington. He has published more than 200 peer-reviewed papers, and currently has more that $40M in peer reviewed funding. He is a recipient of many awards, including the National Cancer Institute of Canada’s prestigious William Rawls Award for contributions to cancer control in Canada, Distinguished University Scholar designation by the University of British Columbia, and in 2005, was awarded the BC Leadership Chair in Prostate Cancer Research. Dr. Gleave is the Founder and CSO of OncoGenex, a private clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on developing new cancer therapies that address treatment resistance in cancer patients. He is active in clinical trials across Canada and is Chairman of the National Cancer Institute of Canada GU Clinical Trials Group, and Chairman of the Canadian Uro-Oncology Group.

Glen Bubley, MD
Associate Professor of Medicine, Harvard Medical School

Dr. Bubley has been published in nearly 60 respected journals and books on the subject of cancer treatment. He is a practising oncologist and has been principal investigator for numerous clinical trials related to prostate cancer.

Tom Buckley, PhD

Educated at McGill, Harvard and the University of Utrecht in Holland in Chemistry and Biochemistry, Dr. Buckley is an internationally recognized expert on channel-forming proteins, who has published over 100 research articles, including more than 60 articles on Aerolysin. He has a number of patents related to Protox's technology. He holds one of the largest NSERC research grants in the biological sciences in Canada, as well as a number of other research grants. He is a full professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Microbiology at the University of Victoria.

Samuel Denmeade, MD
Associate Professor of Oncology, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine

Dr. Samuel Denmeade is co-inventor of PRX302, Protox’s lead candidate for the treatment of prostate cancer and BPH. He is Associate Professor at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and also a member of the Chemical Therapeutics Program within the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins. He has an active clinical practice in genitourinary oncology and has been the principal investigator in several clinical trials in addition to being a co-investigator in a large number of trials conducted by the Genitourinary Oncology Clinical Group at Johns Hopkins. Dr Denmeade has published over 50 papers based on his laboratory research most of them focused in the development of targeted therapies for prostate cancer. Dr. Denmeade has been the recipient of several research awards including those from the NIH, the Department of Defense, the Prostate Cancer Foundation and the Susan Komen Breast Cancer Research Foundation. He graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Biochemistry from Columbia University and earned his MD at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He received his residency training at the University of Chicago before his fellowship training in medical oncology at Johns Hopkins. Dr Denmeade is a member of the Editorial Board of the journal, The Prostate.

Allen Eaves, MD, PhD
Director, Terry Fox Laboratory, British Columbia Cancer Agency
Head of Haematology, Vancouver General Hospital

Dr. Eaves has published over 100 articles in numerous peer-reviewed journals on the treatment of cancer. He is also the CEO of Stem Cell Technologies, a biotechnology company.
