Partnering Opportunities

OUT-LICENSING OPPORTUNITIES – Protox is evaluating potential partners to either co-develop or out-license the development and commercialization of PRX302 for prostate cancer and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) programs. Potential partners must have the commercial infrastructure and resources necessary to effectively develop and promote PRX302 for these significant markets.

In May 2010, Protox entered into an exclusive US$75 million license agreement with Kissei Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (Tokyo Stock Exchange: 4547) for the development and commercialization of PRX302 in Japan for BPH, prostate cancer and other diseases of the prostate. Protox has retained exclusive rights to PRX302 in all other territories.

IN-LICENSING AND COLLABORATION OPPORTUNITIES – In order to leverage the company’s core expertise in targeted toxin-based therapeutics, Protox is actively seeking partnerships focusing on the discovery and development of immunotoxins or fusion proteins that combine the specificity of receptor targeted antibodies or ligands with the selective proteolytic activation of PORxin™ drug candidates. We believe that such dual targeting will offer an improved therapeutic window compared to either approach alone.
