Vancouver, British Columbia, February 9, 2007 ProtoxTM Therapeutics Inc. (TSX-V:PRX) today announced that Dr. James Beesley will join the company as Director of Investor Relations, as Anthony Boone concentrates on his role as Director, Corporate Communications, managing the growing demand for communications with key stakeholder audiences.

Anthony’s extensive communications background will be a strong asset in helping us establish a presence among audiences critical to Protox’s future growth.”
Dr. Beesley brings to the company a body of experience, including investor relations, corporate communications and healthcare. Before joining Protox, he served as the Director of Corporate Communications and Investor Relations at Pacgen Biopharmaceuticals Corporation, which completed an initial public offering on the TSX-Venture Exchange in December, 2006. Prior to Pacgen, Dr. Beesley was an associate in a private multidisciplinary healthcare clinic in England. In this position he played a key business development role, demonstrating a solid track record of delivering strong financial gains and increasing client base. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of British Columbia and a Doctorate of Chiropractic from Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, Oregon.
Anthony Boone will focus on corporate communications and business development for Protox. As Director, Corporate Communications, he will support opportunities for corporate growth and development by strengthening relationships among key external stakeholder audiences, including physicians and potential partners. Mr. Boone will also oversee the company’s communications and marketing activities.
